Get to Know a Little More About Me!
I fell in love with yoga from the first time I took a yoga class. Since I grew up as a gymnast and dancer, the movement of yoga felt very familiar and comforting. But I soon realized that yoga had many additional benefits, such as helping to relieve every day stress and ease my anxiety.
I worked in high stress accounting jobs for almost 20 years and dreamed of teaching yoga but never really thought it was possible. Then in 2015, I took my 200-hour yoga teacher training at YogaWorks Costa Mesa and knew I was meant to teach yoga. It felt very natural and intuitive for me to not only teach physical postures but to also create a safe and loving space in which to guide people to learn more about their bodies and themselves.
In an effort to learn more, I traveled to Thailand in 2017 to get my 300-hour certification with Bryce Yoga. That trip was life changing for me personally for many reasons, and I’m so grateful for it.
Finally, in 2019, in an effort to continue my education, I attended a Spine Training with Yoga Medicine in San Diego and was instantly hooked on diving deep into anatomical information and different ways to help students. This training led me on the path to complete a 500-hour certification in order to become a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist in March 2021.
Although I believe that my education and training are incredibly important in my teaching, I can’t even begin to describe the impact that yoga has made for me in my life. It has made me more confident and connected me to other people in beautiful ways. And more than anything, I want to share this feeling with other people.
I’d love to talk with you if you’d like to learn more!
